NERVO
Hold On
(Extended Mix)
NERVO
London, Britain (UK)
Starting out in the mid-2000’s, Australian sisters Mim and Liv Nervo made their name by writing smash singles for artists like Ke$ha and Kylie Minogue, remixing superstars like Katy Perry and Thirty Seconds to Mars, and joining forces with David Guetta to co-write his Grammy-winning “When Love Takes Over.” They quickly built upon that experience by releasing music under their own name, NERVO, alongside some of the biggest producers today including Afrojack, Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero, while tearing through arenas across North America on the Britney Spears/Nicki Minaj Femme Fatale tour. Now, one of the most sought after acts in dance music, NERVO, can be found balancing their rigorous worldwide touring schedule while working on their debut album that soaks deadly-catchy melody into the loud, dirty beats that set apart their brand of progressive and electro-house.
When not in the studio Mim and Liv can most likely be found spinning at clubs, parties, and festivals all around the world, with their travels including stops at Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy, Ultra and Tomorrowland where they notably celebrated their first Beatport #1 song, “The Way We See The World” (the official Tomorrowland 2011 anthem, co-written and co-produced with Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike). Their club addiction manifested itself in their first Winter Music Conference party this past year (a Delano Hotel event that featured NERVO along with R3HAB, Adrian Lux, Sneaky Sound System, Hook N Sling, and Quintino) as well as two major residencies in 2012: one at the Wynn Hotel Group in the newly anointed EDM mecca of Las Vegas, the other at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel.
“We’re pop writers and we’re club addicts,” notes Mim. To that end, their latest single “You’re Gonna Love Again” layers heartache-curing lyrics over in-your-face beats and a synth-drenched sound that slays. It’s the follow up to their debut single “We’re All No One” released in 2011, which saw the Australian sisters teaming up with the aforementioned Steve Aoki and Afrojack to top charts all over the world.
As they balance DJ-ing with songwriting/producing and making their own music—and also serving as hosts of NERVO Nation, their monthly show on SiriusXM’s BPM channel—the globe-trotting duo considers spinning essential to honing in on the perfect sound. “Since we’re not spending all our time in the studio anymore, we get to play our records when we DJ and instantly see how the crowd reacts,” says Mim. “We’re always educating ourselves with that feedback. And those moments when people have their hands in the air and they’re loving the tunes—it’s one of the best rushes you can experience. It means everything to us.”

Nyx Syrinx Nelio feat. Lisa Rowe
Home (Are We Already There)
(Original Mix)
Nyx Syrinx Nelio
Australia
Australian DJ/Producer group Nyx Syrinx Nelio [NSN] have made a big dent on the electronic music scene since 2010 with back to back releases on Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Records, Pilot 6 (Armada), Soltrenz Records (Strictly Rhythm), and Vicious Recordings. With such high demand for their studio productions, they have now relocated to Germany in order to keep up with the rigours of full time touring and production. Whether they’re in the studio or on the decks you can expect a ride through an energetic deep melodic journey of house music evident through their aspirational influences - Erick Morillo, Axwell and Eric Prydz.
Forming on New Year’s Day in 2006 Nyx Syrinx Nelio successfully patrolled the Sydney club scene for 3 years before lifting off to international recognition through their emotive uplifting productions. 2010 saw the game plan change with their seminal remixes of Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick’s hit record ‘Live Your Life’ and ‘Blackwater’ by Carl Kennedy and Tommy Trash, garnering A-list support from the likes of the Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta and Tiesto. It was then the group decided a relocation to Germany was needed to keep up with their studio commitments. With the groups production building momentum month by month, new projects are on the way. The latest being under their new production alias ‘The Authors’: pushing boundaries to explore new sounds in the same way Pryda and Daft Punk did so successfully in recent years.
Touring regularly through Australia and now in Europe, NSN are a stand out act having their DJ sets loaded with their own productions. As well as weekly club shows, they have also played some of the biggest gigs around at Big Day Out Festival (Australia), Subliminal Sessions (Australia) and the world famed Home Nightclub in Sydney. And with forthcoming releases on Vicious, CR2 & Armada, 2012 is set to be a big year for the DJ/Producer group Nyx Syrinx Nelio.

North Sunset
Poland
For Adrian Palach & Radek Wojnar, the two that form the
progressive house duo North Sunset, their long-term goals are
ardently simple: (1) "…to play live…" and (2) "Earn a big base
of fans and finally have our own professional studio." Coming
from Wejherowo, a town in Gdansk Pomerania with almost
50,000 inhabitants, the opportunity to be heard as an artist is
limiting, when the music is not recognized as mainstream.
However, a combination of networking and self-promoting on
the Internet brought these small-town producers to the attention
of several EDM labels. The duo have built up a noteworthy
discography of original tunes from Portrait Digital, Yellow
Avenue Recordings, Terminal music and Tiefhaus Records,
with more to come from Elliptical Sun Melodies. Armed with the propensity for
being melodically uplifting, clean and catchy, their overall
aesthetic can be best described by paraphrasing this Paul
McCartney lyric: "...the love [they] take is equal to the love [they]
make."

Afrojack ft Chris Brown
As Your Friend (RADIO VERSION)
(Original mix)

Afrojack
Netherlands

In the span of less than 2 years, Afrojack has become one of electronic dance music's major icons. From humble DJ beginnings in his native country of Holland, he has grown to become a multi-award winning, platinum-selling producer. His skills are some of the most sought after in the world, and with two Grammy Awards under his belt, it's easy to see why. In addition to this, his DJ sets have fast become both iconic and unparalleled, providing an explosive take on the current state of dance music across the board.
Starting off in his hometown of Spijkenisse, Nick van der Wall, aka Afrojack, quickly made a name for himself with a slew of hard-hitting underground releases, before exploding in 2011 with the unveiling of "Take Over Control" - an instant worldwide club and chart hit going platinum in the USA. This also helped solidify his own imprint Wall Recordings as a pioneering club music brand - a value he holds dear as label boss and insures with every release.
From there the snowball continued; as well as making club hits and collaborating with the likes of David Guetta (co-writing and producing the world-wide smash "Titanium"), he also began to team up with and write for pop artists around the world. In 2011 he co-wrote and produced "Give Me Everything" for Pitbull and Ne-Yo, which to this day has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. Not to mention his work for Beyonce's "Run the World (Girls)" & his Grammy nominated remix for Leona Lewis' "Collide".
The buying public are not the only ones to have noticed his remarkable prowess and has so far been awarded with Grammy Awards for Best Remix (Madonna, "Revolver") in 2011) and Best Rap/Hip Hop Track for his co-production duties on Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" this year. 2012 continued upwards when his latest single with Shermanology "Can't Stop Me" went top 10 in Holland and is now all over Top 40 radio in the US, while his newest underground club hit "Rock The House" topped the Beatport charts after just 3 days, making it one of the fastest number one records there ever.
Afrojack's skills stretch much farther than the mixing desk however; his presence as one of the world's top performers is solidified almost daily in a gruelling tour schedule. In 2012 alone he began his North American "Jacked" tour with multiple sold out shows featuring his growing posse of Wall artists, before embarking on the same concept throughout Europe with 7 shows a week throughout the summer. On top of his own shows, he headlined both EDC NY & Las Vegas to over 300.000 people, as well as the UMF in Miami + Tomorrowland and many other major festivals throughout Europe.
His long anticipated yet to be named artist album is nearing completion, with tracks already being road-tested at clubs. A true testament to his prolific profile as a producer and an artist, the long-player will showcase multiple sides of the Afrojack sound - from aggressive to accessible yet always credible. In the pantheon of EDM greats that have risen over the years, Afrojack has earned his place already, but is far from finished with what he has to share. The adventure continues while the beat goes on.
